The heartbeat of Trident Baptist Church is missions! We currently support over 70 missionaries around the world. We support them through Faith Promise Missions Giving. Our missionaries’ pictures are on the wall in the center of our lobby and a notebook full of their prayer letters is kept on the table in front of the missionary pictures. You are invited to read the letters to see how God is using these “frontline” workers for Christ.
Trident Baptist Church conducts an annual missions conference every November. If you are a missionary seeking support please contact us at this email address and share with us your burden, missions@tridentbaptist.org
A Word from Pastor Tharp...
My grandfather, now with the Lord, said in a sermon, “Missions is the most selfless expression of love and obedience to the Lord a local church can demonstrate.” We cannot underestimate the potential impact a mission-focused church can have not only on the foreign field but in church planting and God calling out from among us servants for the mission field.
Our mission theme is the word COMMITTED. Oh, how we need people committed to PRAY, to GIVE, and to GO. It may be the Lord will touch the heart of a young man or girl to surrender to be a missionary. Perhaps He will call you, in spite of all of your plans and goals. God is asking for first place in each of our lives. We must be committed to do as He bids us all to do. We must be committed to pray. The needs and opportunities have never been greater but we must pray the Lord of the harvest that He would send forth more laborers into the harvest fields. We must be committed to give. We must increase our mission partners and increase the amount of all monthly support. This should be our passion all the year long! More for the cause of missions.
Committed: To Pray- To Give- To Go!
Theme Verse: Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."
